10-Month Recap: The Acts of the Living God

Ten months ago, God began placing a vision on our hearts—a vision much bigger than us. As we have followed the breadcrumbs He has placed before us, prayed, sought His will, and invited others to pray alongside us, He has faithfully begun putting the pieces in place.

Here are just a few of the Acts of the Living God we have witnessed:

1. God gave us the idea to establish Iron Pine Holdings LLC—to work, build resources, and help fund missional work.
2. God gave us the vision for Iron Pine Heritage Foundation—a nonprofit created to support outdoor activities that lead to mission projects, serve those in need, and ultimately help fulfill the Great Commission by partnering with people and ministries already doing the work.
3. Iron Pine Holdings LLC was officially formed.
4. Iron Pine Heritage Foundation was officially formed.
5. We submitted the Foundation’s application for 501(c)(3) approval from the IRS. If you know anything about the IRS, you know they do not usually move fast! After submitting the application, I checked the timeline thinking it had been about a month—but it had only been two and a half weeks.

There is only so much a foundation can do without that approval, and we felt there was urgent work to be done for the Kingdom. Miss Christy and I prayed together:

“Lord, if You see fit to expedite this application, please do so—but only if it is Your will. If it is Your will and timing for us to wait, we will wait patiently.”

The very next day, Miss Christy checked the mail and quickly came back into the house saying, “We got a letter from the IRS!”

It was the Foundation’s approval letter!

That’s right—only two and a half weeks. That was a miracle! I have never seen the IRS move that fast on anything… except maybe when they want money. 😊

6. Our website was built and social-media platforms were put in place.
7. Bank accounts were opened and linked.
8. Funding and donation platforms were established.
9. Along with the professional services offered by the LLC, we launched Services With Purpose—local services that directly help fund the Foundation’s efforts.
10. Our first donations were received!
11. Roger Patterson officially joined the Foundation Board as our Global Director.
12. We have officially partnered with incredible people and organizations we can stand beside, help fund, and support in their mission—while together fulfilling the Great Commission:

Until ALL have heard.

This is not about us. This is about a Living God who still opens doors, answers prayer, provides, and uses ordinary people willing to say, “Here am I, Lord—send me.”

The journey is just beginning.
